Panuku Development Auckland is leading the transformation of Onehunga. Their role is to facilitate and guide regeneration in Onehunga, in a way that understands and reflects the characteristics and needs of Onehunga and its community.
The transformation covers a 600ha area, which incorporates around 80ha of land owned by Auckland Council or its subsidiaries. The plan will incorporate a mix of short-term developments as well as more substantial longer-term changes, aimed at improving infrastructure, socio-economic performance and the environment.
